Partners Matter
When a woman is fully supported, feels heard, with her thoughts validated, and she is accepted for who she is...
she is able to lay down her armor and just BE. In birth, it is important for a woman to feel this way. With her armor off she can allow her body to release and allow birth to unfold. How is her partner important then? Her partner gives her the extra safety needed for her to Let Go. |
Partners, you know her best. She feels secure with you.
You don't need to know everything. You don't need to have all the answers.
You don't need to know the right things to say.
You just need to... be there.
We will learn everything else together.
You will get to know her better and know what to do and when. You will have questions and uncertainty answered.
You will know the right things to say, being even more present...which is ultimately what she needs most.
A doula does not replace a birthing mother's partner. A doula is an added benefit. A guide preparing you and her for the transformational birth experience. A doula is an extra resource through labor and birth.
A doula is there to support and reassure you both.
